Drawing horses

I went to visit a friend I know for 42 years. I spent a lot of time with her and her parents when I was a school kid. She is now teaching Dutch to foreigners in creative ways. After talking a lot, we went to draw her horses. First close to these large animals. But then it started to rain and we went sit in the car. We were so far away, that we couldn’t see the horses clearly anymore and started to draw each other. Though I didn’t see her a lot the last 25 years, her face is still so familiar. A mixture of how I know her as a child and the face of her mother, back then.

What a beautiful drawing of her. I can feel her softness and kindness in your lines.

  3. Leuke blog.
